Piku export format

Getting an export

In Piku, go to Settings > Your data > Export. We email a link to the zip, usually within minutes and within two days for large accounts. The link works for 48 hours and only for the account that asked.

The rules

  • manifest.json names the format ("piku-export") and its version (1), the export date, and every file with its size, SHA-256, row count and schema.
  • CSV files are RFC 4180, UTF-8, CRLF line ends, with a header row. A cell that a spreadsheet would read as a formula starts with an apostrophe.
  • Money: amount_minor is whole minor units in its own currency (ISO 4217 code in currency); amount is the same value as a decimal string. Amounts are never converted.
  • Dates are ISO 8601 in UTC. Every row has its Piku id, and files point at each other with those ids (deal_id, invoice_id, rate_id).
  • Columns are snake_case and only ever added. A removed or renamed column means a new version.
  • Lists and objects inside a cell are JSON.

Other files

  • README.txt: the same in plain words.
  • profile.json (profile@1): name, handle, bio, niches, place, default currency, page design, Business details and plan.
  • pdf/invoices/ and pdf/receipts/: every invoice and receipt as your clients got them, named by number.
  • media/: your photo, logo, link images and work files, stored as uploaded. Paths are in the rows that use them.
